Fibonacci Sequences in Nature

This download teaches children about finding Fibonacci Sequences in nature in one complete math lesson. This fascinating mathematical sequence is great for getting children excited about math in nature!

There is a detailed 36 slide PowerPoint explaining the sequence, how it was discovered, what it means in the natural world and how we spot the sequence around us. There is also an activity sheet to encourage students to go out and investigate the Fibonacci sequence and record their findings. I have also included a video of my own sequencing lesson (using these resources) which took place online for the teacher’s understanding or to show the class.
