Find out why 'back to school' need to include an 'all about me' activity. It really isn't something you can skip!

The start of a new school year has a lot of traditions, the 'all about me' activity has become a standard part of back to school and I think it is incredibly important!

There are so many things our students wish we knew about them, some may seem pretty superficial, such as their favourite food or the TV shows they like to watch, but some are very important such as home life and worries they have. Everything your students share with you allows you to build a stronger relationship with them and helps to create a feeling of community in our classroom.

With this in mind I wanted to talk to you lovely people about my new fun 'getting to know you' activity. This is such a fun and unique way to have the children write about themselves on the first day of school. It is a printable iPhone with apps for the children to fill in their information. The kids love making it and it makes for great displays.

This activity is so easy to make, you can prepare it yourself or have the children do all the cutting and sticking (depending on how much time you have and your class ability). Once all the apps are cut out and stuck down let the children complete their information.

These are so much fun for your class and a great way to find out those extra bits of information you might not have otherwise known about your kids!
