Fun Multiplication Activities

teaching-children-to-multiply

Teachers know that children need multiplication facts to be learnt by heart, it makes things so much easier for them in later lessons but some times it is a real struggle to get those facts in!

Here are some fun ways to get children to remember their times tables

Use songs

Teaching times tables to a rhyme is a great way to get kids to remember, they will start by going through the whole table to find the answer but eventually they will learn them individually.

Table games

Having children quiz each other or working together as team against other tables can bring out the competitive nature in children, and help them to learn.

Hidden picture revision

Giving children just a sheet of problems to revise their multiplication knowledge can be boring, but giving them these hidden picture sheets can make it so much more fun!
