Email marketing, do I need it?

Charlee, I have been pinning my products and posting about them on Facebook and Instagram. I am making good sales but I don't know if I am marketing the best way. I have heard that email is the best way to market to my customers but I don't really know if it is the right thing for me as a teacher-seller.

Does email marketing suit our businesses?

Thanks for the question! I love email marketing! It really is a great way to reach your customers and allows you to build strong relationships. Email marketing can seem a bit scary at first, you are actually starting a real conversation with your people, but that is a great thing!

If you are wondering where to start with email marketing, you need to start a list! Choose a email marketing service, there are many (Convertkit, Mailchimp, MailerLite and many many others) sign up, set up a page that allows you to collect addresses and start your list!

It really is very straight forward, you will need to offer your customers a reason to sign up to your list, this is called a lead magnet, once they sign up you start emailing them regularly, building your relationships and getting more sales.

That (very) basically is the essence of email marketing.

There is a lot of information online about setting up an email list and you can totally do this alone. However, if you want someone to hold your hand and guide you through this step by step, please take a look at my teacher-seller email marketing course and workbook.
